NPG are constantly staying creative and stimulated by their love for film and writing. This leads to new ideas and projects in development which are very exciting. Check out some of the latest projects we are working on below.

Friends, Foes & Fireworks

An intimate New Year's Eve reunion of five female friends becomes a test of relationships when old tensions spark, truths are told, and rivalries are reignited.

Will the group make it through the night together or will their friendship fizzle out like an overzealous fireworks display?

Shot in a single night, the craziest and most chaotic night of the year - NYE - and relying on improvisation in acting and camera, Friends, Foes & Fireworks is an ambitions Australian mumblecore film from Ivan Malekin and Sarah Jayne.

Choir Girl

Choir Girl is an Australian feature film to be shot in black and white in early 2017 throughout various Melbourne locations.

Written and directed by Michael Wormald and produced by Ivan Malekin of Nexus Production Group, Choir Girl is a gritty drama about a lonely photographer, Eugene, who becomes obsessed with a young street worker, Cherry, in his rundown neighbourhood.

She becomes his muse and his photos could be a way out for both of them - yet is Eugene saving Cherry or is he or using her?

Precious is best described as an animated horror, inspired my the classic works of Edgar Allen Poe, in particullay his stories The Black Cat and The Tell- Tale Heart. Both of these old school stories by the master of the macabre helped Sarah Jayne write the short story about a man obsessed with his obese neighbour's beating heart and his own love for his cats.

Ivan has taken Sarah's twisted tale of delusions, obession and murder and turned it into a screenplay which will be NPG's first ever completely animated film, something we very much look forward too.
