Styling for Stealth Photographics
ART DIRECTOR / WRITER / DIRECTOR
Sarah fell into an Art Department role back in 2006 with no idea what was expected from her but was immediately addicted to the variety, creativity and all the little details her set designing and dressing role encompassed – it was an outlet for her imagination and visual mind and she knew this was the right direction to take – her dream job.
Sarah has worked on numerous short films; more recently with industry heavyweights Princess Pictures and The Boilermaker Pty Ltd. Her feature film credits include the critically acclaimed Taj, the one and only Dace Decklan: Private Eye, Oddball starring Shane Jacobson and The Subjects by Instinct Entertainment.
Many moons ago Sarah completed a Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration plus a Certificate in Visual Merchandising: Product Placement. She strengthened her skills in colour matching, learned about textures and fabrics, how to build scale models, how to draw floor plans, light a space and use programs such as CAD Design and Photoshop. She finds that these skills are all transferable to film projects and always applies what she learned.
Sarah takes on the full gamut of Art Department; building and dressing sets, painting backdrops, prop buying, and mingling with like-minded creatives any chance she gets. In 2013 Sarah broadened her film-making horizons further; writing, producing and directing Dusk, her first short film. In her spare time Sarah writes short stories, enjoys photography, modelling, and styling on photoshoots.
